When we set out to do something new, and then have struggles with it, we have a choice. We all know this and what those choices are, but I also think we all need reminding.
1. Give in and just go back to how things were.
2. Start again. (Ok I just have to add this: after I typed “start,” the next word suggestion on my phone was “crying”! I guess that is a choice also😂
But seriously, if you’ve been given another day, then you have another chance to start again.
Here are some steps I made today:
- Prayed for wisdom
- Wrote out a plan for what we will eat this week, including snack options
- Green smoothie for lunch
- Did not touch (any more) of the cookies that a sweet neighbor brought over
Please know that I do not share this to pat myself on the back, but to encourage you to keep up your efforts, or join me in starting again and see how even a small step can give you motivation! I hope to update each week the progress we are making.
